FOUR SEEK LOVE Clement Wood and Gloria Goddard Interesting introduction by Jack Woodford, which can be seen in the Clubhouse Essays section. |
|
1949 First Thus Revision of Clement Wood & Gloria Goddard's BARGAIN BASEMENT (1934) |
|
Interesting Depression-era scenario of four females, each with their own experiences, views on society, success and sex -- thrown together by a meeting in a department store "Bargain Basement." | |
VERY GOOD PLUS/NEAR FINE Colorful bright dust jacket has chips to bottom edges, a closed tear to back cover.. Book itself is fairly nice, boards clean but have bumping and chipping along bottom edges, no foxing. Previous owner's stamp is on the front fly leaf. A very nice copy of this hard-to-find book. |

Back cover of Dust Jacket describes two other titles from the Woodford Press by Clement Wood -- whose name makes me think he may be one in the same as the pseudonyminous DEVIL'S ADVOCATE author"C. Lamont Wood" which in turn was actually authored by one Robert Sewall.
