THE DUDE 1.3
THE DUDE
Vol. 1 No. 3
Published by Mystery Publishing Company. Inc, 48 West 48th Street, New York 36, NY
Bruce Elliot -- Editor
January 1957
orig. price $.50 cents
69 pages
Early Dude features a nice array of writing and graphics -- Henry Miller's essay THESE WOMEN I REMEMBER, Harlan Ellison's THE BOHEMIA OF ARTHUR ARCHER, Robert Benchley, Nelson Algren, Michael Shaara, Bob Bristow, Lorane Sutton and James Lincoln Collier.  And lots of great nude photography inlcluding Diane Webber by Bunny Yeager and some vaguely bestial weirdness riffing with Marla English by Zoltan Glass.  Lots to like!
FINE MINUS or better
Mag is clean, flat, smooth and bright -- flaw is a slight nick to bottom edge of cover -- extremely minor though.
A near gorgeous copy of this hard-to-find early mens mag.
