POST-PORNOGRAPHIA TRISTE
Cavalier
Vol. 15 No. 141
March, 1965
POST-PORNOGRAPHIA TRISTE
Paul Gallico
3000 word article without illustration
Gallico sets out to write an amusing article on the books of the OLYMPIA PRESS, but chokes on the prospect and instead turns in several thousand words damning pornographers and pornography, recounting a synopsis of Alexander Trocchi's HELEN AND DESIRE and ending up by comparing the whole enterprise to a Satanic Black Mass.
But the entire issue should not be seen as a waste for it contains articles on Sterling Hayden and Student Demonstrations, fine art by Robert McGinnis and writing by:
Paul Krassner, James Lincoln Collier, P.G. Wodehouse and Ed Sachs
Pictorials are excellent as well.
FINE MINUS
As New. Fresh, clean, glossy magazine is complete, with just a hint of rubbing on covers, but not even much at that.
A gorgeous copy of this hard-to-find magazine.
