![]() Escapade was originally published by David Zentner, who was one of the original pioneers of sleaze publishing -- producing both mens magazines and paperback books from his Hollywood editorial offices at 8511 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles 46, California. Zentner's offices were fertile ground for sleaze writers and editors of the late 1950s. Among the writers who worked with him early on were the prolific Charles Nuetzel, Robert Pike (who went on to found EPIC BOOKS) and many others. Zentner left Hollywood in the early 1960, folding his West-coast mens magazine and opening shop with Bee-Line books and several new magazines coming out of new offices in New York City. New titles will be added as they become available. |
