THE STORY OF THE MISFITS James Goode Photographs by Eve Arnold, Ernst Haas, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Inge Morath and Magnum |
First Edition, First Printing 1963 331 pages |
Evenly written, frequently fascinating look into the genesis and production of THE MISFITS, intended to be "the ultimate motion picture," with its unique gathering of the key talents of the late 1950s -- playwright Arthur Miller, Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Director John Huston, Composer Aaron Copland. Adding to this peek into their magical world are the dozens of Magnum photographs which capture intimacy and vulnerability amid the chaos of production. 8.5" x 6" |
VERY GOOD PLUS/FINE MINUS Dust Jacket is flat, within brodart sleeve, corner is nipped off, minor edge wear, especially around spine. Boards and book itself are clean, binding is straight, strong and sound.  Main flaw is visible nip on cover (see scan). A nice copy of this hard-to-find book. |
