This memorable issue o'erflows with the bumbling literary "style" of Edward D. Wood, Jr., including several uncredited stories with enough elipsi (...) and near-miss similes and analogies to gag a duck. My Guess is Ed edited the works of others including Charles Anderson (using the "Norman Bates" pseudonym). Additionally, the magazine is graphically distinguished with some evocative hippie-sex images, with as title implies many fulsome trios, lots of hairy beaver shots as well as cleverly conceived flesh sandwiches and some oddball weirdly posed moments. Art-direction expresses the delight of hand-cut photo montage layouts throughout with several examples of hand-drawn enhancements as well Photo spreads are a graphically arresting collection of color and B&W couples in action. |
