Adult Cinema Magazines Stag film producers have long had a keen business sense turning a profit on the rentals/sales of their productions, as well as re-using the same imagery in magazines, books and loose photo sets.  So, an afternoon photo shoot with a model (or a couple models) could yield material for a variety of revenue streams.  While many early stag movies had their hard-copy magazine versions (THE LUSTFUL TURK springs to mind), by and large, most re-use of movie photo stills was found in the many compilation magazines which began appearing in the early 1960s and carry on to this day.  The surviving magazines now serve to record information on cast, directors, producers and images from a number of low-budget sexploitation films which would otherwise have long ago disappeared from even the most avid film historian's radar screen.  So, if you are looking for info on the adult film world as it progressed from tent-show to grind-house to home-video and onward, these mags are the place to look.     Be sure to cross-check the "Books," "Writers" and "Artists" and "Models" areas also!   New mags will be added as they become available.
