1970s Men's Magazines The 1970s dawned upon a sexual landscape littered with the broken barriers of the 60s censorship battles -- publishing establishments in ruin, replaced by new enterprises or covered in the weedy overgrown of horny entrepreneurs catering to tripped out peaceniks, decadent hipsters and battle-hardened Vietnam Vets.  Playboy saw a new crop of competitors, and the lines between mens mags and porn became smudged when HUSTLER spread wide the pink.  For producers, nothing sexual was deemed off-limits -- as reflected in films like X-RATED, BOOGIE NIGHTS and PEOPLE VS LARRY FLYNT where the porn world runs wild and crashes head-on ... into itself.  In this section, you can glimpse the 70s newsstand mags, while hard stuff was reserved for ... the glossy adult mags! Below you'll find the wide and varied world of the mainstream mags, usually with national circulation.  Look over a the Parliament magazine section for the independent "adult book store" adult mags -- which tended to be quirkier and more edgy! Condition Grades There's a standard bookseller vocabulary, with terms like Fine, Very Good, Good and Poor to assess condition (to see these terms defined, click on the link above).  Most of my books are in Very Good or better condition, and I tend to overemphasize their flaws so that any surprise is a pleasant one.  Feel free to ask questions, and if the book isn't in the condition described, you may return it for a full refund.  Wants Lists If I don't have the book you seek in stock, I will retain your book search in my wants files and email you when I do have a copy for sale.
